IT System Administrator (w/m/d)

You can work remotely or at our location(s) in Heidelberg, or Bratislava

Your Mission: Join our team!

  • Manage, maintain, and support our IT infrastructure, including Windows and Linux environments, mobile devices, and internal communication platforms.

  • Administer and support Microsoft Active Directory ensuring secure identity and permission administration.

  • Provide expert 1st and 2nd Level Support (remote, on-site, and via phone) for Microsoft Windows, Linux systems, Microsoft 365 and network-related services.

  • Administer and support virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.

  • Configure, deploy, and maintain client workstations and endpoints using standardized deployment and lifecycle management processes.

  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, switching, and connectivity issues.

  • Manage hardware, software, IT assets, licensing, and procurement while ensuring compliance with company standards.

  • Perform root cause analysis for complex technical incidents and contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives.

What we are looking for: Your profile 

  • Several years of professional experience in Systems Administration, or IT Infrastructure in enterprise environments.

  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Windows (Client & Server), Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Linux administration.

  • Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies, preferably VMware and Hyper-V.

  • Experience with endpoint management, hardware lifecycle management, and enterprise IT infrastructure.

  • Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITIL) principles and SLA-driven support processes.

  • Knowledge of scripting and automation (PowerShell and/or Bash) is an advantage. 

  • Strong communication skills with a customer- and service-oriented mindset.

  • High level of reliability and the ability to work independently as well as within multidisciplinary teams.

  • Excellent German and good English communication skills, both written and spoken.
